The Beginning - Why I Started This Blog
I began riding motorcycles about 25 years ago. (I'm trying not to date myself!) My first bike was a 1980 Honda CB750F. I loved it, but my wife-to-be didn't. After 2 years, I sold it and didn't ride again until 4 years ago. After a succession of bikes, including a 1981 Yamaha XS650 and a 1984 Honda VF700C Magna, I test drove a 2005 Suzuki 800 Boulevard and a 2004 Kawasaki VN750 Vulcan. The Vulcan won, hands down. So began my odessy into the Vulcan 750 cult-like following. Since that day, I have put over 7,000 miles on my Vulcan in a little over 3 years. Those years have included constant additions and numerous forays into the cyber world for parts and information. The more I learn and experience, the more I love my Vulcan. I will chronicle various aspects of my journey here, giving insight into the history, performance and modifying the VN750. I hope you enjoy it!
